Fors Marsh Group Achieves B Corporation Certification

FMG is a Certified B Corporation

Fors Marsh Group (FMG) is proud to announce it is officially a Certified B Corporation. FMG is the first Washington, D.C.,-area research company to earn this honor and joins a community of Certified B Corporations committed to a higher standard of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

To become certified, FMG met a rigorous set of standards that evaluates a company’s impact on all of its stakeholders, including workers, suppliers, the community, customers and the environment. By meeting these comprehensive standards, B Lab, a nonprofit that provides the B Corps certification, verified FMG’s commitment to its stakeholders and its overall social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability.

"The B Corps Certification is a natural fit for us, as the purpose of our business has never been to simply maximize value for shareholders," said Ben Garthwaite, Senior Vice President. "Earning the B Corps Certification affirms this commitment to considering the impact of our business decisions on our stakeholders. We are honored to be part of the movement of firms taking a longer term perspective, and we continue to be humbled by the impact of our unique community-focused programs, such as SERV, which activates our talent to deliver pro bono research and strategic services to mission-aligned nonprofit organizations."

FMG has long been committed to making the world a better place by using science and strategy to improve people’s lives and to create a lasting positive impact for our clients. In 2017, FMG worked to reduce alcohol abuse and tobacco use with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and to educate Americans living overseas and serving in the military about voting registration requirements through the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP). FMG also worked to improve citizens’ financial decision-making in collaboration with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
