Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired)
Terry Trenchard is the Managing Director of the Advertising and Marketing account under the Communication Research, Strategy and Outreach (CRSO) Practice Area. In this role, he oversees a portfolio of market research, usability testing, and strategic planning efforts in support of programs within the Department of Defense and different branches of the military, to include the U.S. Army’s recruitment advertising program.
Prior to joining Fors Marsh Group, Colonel Trenchard served as an officer in the Marine Corps for over 30 years. Most recently, he served in leadership positions within the Marine Corps, to include Chief of Staff and Director of National Operations and Training for the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, and Commanding Officer for the 4th Marine Corps Recruiting District. Early in his career, he was the Operations Officer and Executive Officer for Recruiting Station Jacksonville, Florida and the Head of Enlisted Retention and Career Counseling, Manpower Management Enlisted Assignments Branch, Headquarters, Marine Corps.
Prior to his senior recruiting positions, Colonel Trenchard served as the Team Leader and Senior Advisor to the 27th Iraqi Army Brigade Commanding General in Al Anbar Province, Iraq during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and as an artillery battery commander during Operations SHINING HOPE (Albania), JOINT GUARDIAN (Kosovo), and AVID RESPONSE (Turkey).
A graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School and the U.S. Army Field Artillery School, Colonel Trenchard earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U. S. Naval War College and a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the U.S. Army War College. His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit with one gold star in lieu of second award, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star in lieu of second award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon with gold star in lieu of second award.
